I’ve written often about the Rapture…the
"Catching Up" of Christians to Heaven, before the Tribulation, the battle of Armageddon, and other terrible things
told of in the book of Revelation. And I’ve even written a song about how Christ will come to meet us in the clouds
before all that happens. There are times when to sing is one thing, while to actually see the words in print can make a stronger
impression on us. For that reason, I’ve put my song in this Conquest articles. It says "I Can Fly," comparing
my rapture to the baby bird, who "can fly" when his time comes. Notice thoughts like "no fear of heights"
in my song. Here it is:
and style, the day that I'll fly up to meet the Lord The day we fly, my Lord and I, will wave
goodbye to the world... I heard Him say as He went away, one day you'll come with me...
And this same Christ, promised that I Can fly...when He comes for me.
I can fly, and Jesus Christ will set my time to leave.
And you can too, the moment you, tell Christ that you believe!
(2)My fare was paid, the day I laid my sins at Jesus' feet...
And with that journey thru the air, my faith will be complete. The clouds are dust
from God's own feet; they praise Him, every one
And stars will sing as Christians wing, our way beyond the sun.
What style and grace that Heavenly place, will have when we get there.
No guides to pay, to show the way
,to meet Him in the air... No fear of height, on that last flight, when He comes to make us new...
I'll own the sky for
He said that I Can fly, and I know it's true!
