The question persists: It’s about the souls of all the world’s
people, who died in The Flood. I have a word that ties to what the Bible says.
The word is "conscience." I believe that God gave it to
every human, so that even if they never open a Bible, they know when they’re wrong. The word isn’t even found
in the Old Testament, but shows up at least 32 times in the New Testament, first in John 8:9, as Jesus speaks of the men who
brought to Him the woman they had caught in adultery. Jesus spoke of the men "being convicted by their own conscience"
as they left Him.
I know that even Adam and Eve each had a conscience, from the way they acted…for example, hiding from God after sinning
and realizing they were naked. And Paul said in 2nd Timothy 1:3, "I thank
God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience." Until the Law was given, people were still doing whatsoever
was right in their own eyes (Deuteronomy 12:8, Judges 17:6, 21:25, and 13:18, where it says, "eyes of the Lord").
And I wonder about Romans 3:24-25, where Paul
said, "Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; whom God hath set forth to
be a propitiation (that is, a sacrifice) through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins
that are past, through the forbearance of God." Could this have included from the beginning of time?
And in Romans 5:13, he makes it clear that "until
the law, sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law" The Living Bible makes it clearer as it
says, "Yes, people sinned even before the law was given, but it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any
law to break."
whatever we tie to "conscience," it can be made of no effect, if we allow it to be "seared with a hot iron;"
that is, to ignore it until it doesn’t bother us. (1st Tim. 4:2).
when all was said and done, Jesus Christ went to them between His crucifixion and His Ascension, giving them a chance to believe
in Him. That was the final solution.
