You may have seen that public service commercial on TV in which a voice says, "One of every three Americans with AIDS,
don't know it."
Now as Jay Leno would say,"My question is: if those WITH the disease don't know it, how does that voice know it?
So folks, don't be too concerned whensomeone says in the paper or on TV that they've found that something can harm you.
Remember a few years ago when the word came down that cranberries could cause cancer? That report almost ruined the cranberry
business. Think of all the trouble it caused, putting workers out of business and probably putting a few companies into bankruptcy.
And later it came out that you'd have to eat a ton or so every week for the tests to pan out. Well, as the kids say "DUH!"
If you eat that much of ANYthing, it's going to harm you, one way or another. Same with those people who used to say for
us to drink at least eight big glasses of water every day, and no other liquid we'd drink would count. I knew a fellow who
was going along with them and drinking eight glasses a day. And you know what I did? I said, "What's that doing to
your kidneys? And he quit the habit. And by the way, they have now decided that you don't have to drink THAT much, and the
other liquids will count, after all.
It seems that so many of us have learned how to read, that we're too gullible, letting ONE judge spout his decision about
something, and causing a national upheaval to citizens rights and even changing sensible laws to suit his whim. One judge
out of thousands across the nation. Judges, like teachers, ministers, physicians and many others whom we allow to be in charge,
have a great responsibility. And the Bible says the tougher THEY judge, the harder they will BE judged.
So don't believe everything you hear or read, and only half of what you see, because with the improvement in photography
and the tricks they have in movies and TV, you can see things that never happened.
One thing you can believe. One thing holds true yesterday, today and forever, and that's the Word of God. The Bible.
No one has been able to find an error in its prophecies or other statements.
I'd advise you to get on board if you haven't already, tell Christ you're switching to His side. Then show it in your
lifestyle, your language, and the friends you run with. Proof of the pudding.
