I’m not what they call a “bird-watcher,” but you don’t have to build a nest among them to see that
birds surely are directed by a leader much greater than they.
You’ve seen a flock…maybe a couple of hundred of them…flying in formation, close together, yet never
ramming or even touching each other. And although there doesn’t seem to be a leader, as in a group of geese migrating…there
is no single bird up front or out to the side, directing that huge group when to turn, but they do it, smooth as silk. And
recently I watched as a large flock, flying wingtip to wingtip, it seemed…and they descended on a tree like a cloud,
and they swooped into that tree and each one lit on a limb as if there was a giant magnet, directing each one to his place!
It was amazing, how they literally filled that tree, yet each one went to a particular spot in a moment’s time, and
no two tried to light in the same spot! How would Charles Darwin explain THAT! Darwin came up with an idea and passed it around,
and it explained God away so neatly, that the public grabbed on to it with eyes wide shut. Anything to get God out of their
lives so they could live it on their own.
Pity. Folks need someone to cry out to when things go wrong, and that One is actually is a Threesome…Jehovah our
God, His Son, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit, our Comforter. Christians pray to God, and we ask in Jesus’
name, and when we aren’t capable of knowing how to pray, the Holy Spirit prays for us. An example, to me, is how to
pray about the Middle East situation. We can pray for the safe return of our military, and for God’s guidance of our
leaders, but there will never be total peace, anywhere in our world until Christ comes back for us. No peace because of the
sin that too many listen to and who’s advice they follow.
Pray for God’s guidance, and do your part to make a better world. That’s our place in the scheme of things.
